How Mr Live Shopping Scores Whatnot Sellers

Verified August 1, 2026. Refreshed Monthly.

A seller score should be reproducible. It should not be a popularity contest or a paid endorsement disguised as research.

Eligibility

A seller is not scored until the record contains:

  • Profile URL
  • Category
  • Rating and rating count
  • Sold count
  • Average shipping time
  • Review date
  • At least two observed shows or a meaningful order sample
  • Disclosure notes
  • Pricing notes
  • Fulfillment notes
  • Conflict disclosure

Category expertise

Category expertise is demonstrated by accurate identification and useful answers, not by confidence.

Record whether the seller uses:

  • Completed sales
  • Asking prices
  • Retail price
  • Graded value for raw items
  • Wrong product configuration
  • Unsupported appraisal

Support score

Review:

  • Response time
  • Clarity
  • Evidence requested
  • Resolution
  • Escalation
  • Pattern across cases

Freshness

Seller scores should include:

  • Last reviewed date
  • Number of observations
  • Category
  • Current confidence level

A score older than 90 days should be marked stale until refreshed.

Paid relationships

A seller may advertise with Mr Live Shopping, but:

  • Payment does not raise the score.
  • Sponsored placement is labeled.
  • Affiliate relationships are disclosed.
  • A seller can be removed after new evidence.
  • Review data remains separate from sales agreements.

Corrections

Sellers and buyers can submit corrections with evidence.

The page should keep:

  • Date
  • Claim
  • Evidence
  • Decision
  • Score change
  • Reviewer

Publication rule

Do not publish a numerical score until the underlying dataset exists. Publish the methodology first, then add verified records.
