Referral links are not universal codes

A referral link is tied to the new account signup process. Whatnot says the referral amount can vary by account, region, or promotion and is revealed during signup.

Referral credit:

• Applies automatically at checkout
• Has no minimum-spend requirement
• Applies to the order subtotal
• Does not pay shipping, taxes, or fees
• Does not apply to offers or Free Pickup orders
• Works only with sellers using the same currency as the credit
• May expire, depending on the offer terms

A page advertising one fixed amount to every visitor can be outdated even when the link itself is valid.

The referral amount may be randomized

Whatnot publishes multiple referral-program structures. Under the published randomized United States terms, every eligible new participant receives at least a stated minimum, while larger rewards are less common.

The useful takeaway is simple: treat the amount shown during your signup as the real offer. Do not plan a purchase around the largest amount advertised by a third-party coupon site.

Seller coupons work during shows

Seller coupons can offer:

• A fixed dollar discount
• A percentage discount

Coupons currently apply to eligible show purchases. They do not apply to out-of-show purchases or offers.

Rewards Club is seller specific

A Rewards Club belongs to one seller. Progress with Seller A does not become progress with Seller B.

Rewards Club progress can reset by season. Coupons can have a short grace period after a season ends. The seller and the buyer should not assume that a coupon remains available indefinitely.

2. Open the Wallet.
3. Claim the coupon or confirm it appears.
4. Read the minimum subtotal and eligibility.
5. Check whether it is a first-purchase offer.
6. Confirm the discount appears before completing a Buy It Now order.
7. For an auction, treat the coupon as valid only after the app shows it as eligible.
8. Review the receipt after the purchase.

Do not raise your bid by the full coupon value. A discount should improve a deal, not excuse overpaying.

Red flags on Whatnot coupon pages

Be cautious when a page:

• Promises one reward amount to every visitor
• Calls a referral link a universal promo code
• Omits shipping, tax, and fee exclusions
• Does not show a verification date
• Lists dozens of untested codes
• Claims coupons work outside live shows
